Katie is the Founder and Managing Director at Persona Ltd. Katie brings her fascination of personality and culture to the company, helping organisations, teams and individuals work out how to achieve results faster through understanding people, whether they are based here in the U.K. or overseas. Katie enjoys bringing the best out in individuals and organisations, with a sharp focus on authenticity and people-centric development.
Katie has a dual degree in European Business Management (B.A. Hons) from the European Partnership of Business Schools. (She speaks French and Spanish). And has a dual diploma in Personal Performance Coaching (Distinction) as well as in Corporate & Executive Coaching (Distinction) from The Coaching Academy.
Katie has lived and worked in 10 different countries over the past 20 years (U.K., France, Spain, U.S.A., Nigeria, Indonesia, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Russian Federation, Ghana) so her expertise in Cross-Cultural Competence is the culmination of having lived a nomadic lifestyle (as a student, as a journalist and consultant, and as a wife and mother overseas) as well as having gone on to study Cross-Cultural Communications.
For several years, Katie led teams of journalists to various countries to produce special economic reports for Western print media (The Economist, The Sunday Observer, BusinessWeek, Investors' Chronicle, USA Today, le Monde, etc.). In doing so, she was in the privileged position to be able to interview Heads of State, Ministers, business celebrities and entrepreneurs which allowed her not only to get a first-hand understanding of these cultures and personalities, but to experience their leadership styles, communication styles and their vision for the future of their country. In 1999, Katie was appointed as State Visit Officer at The British High Commission in Ghana; responsible for liaising between Buckingham Palace and the Government of Ghana in the months leading up to HRH Queen Elizabeth's State Visit to Ghana.
Katie is qualified by the British Psychology Association (Levels A & B) to deliver psychometric assessments and is able to help clients choose an appropriate psychometric test for their needs. She is also licensed to conduct Cross-Cultural Profiling, through Hofstede's Culture in The Workplace Questionnaire. More recently, Katie has become one of the first cohort to be licensed to work with the iOpener People and Performance Questionnaire [iPPQ] which assesses Happiness at Work.
Katie works as an Associate for various consultancies and is proud to be invited to coach and tutor at the U.K.'s top business schools as well as in many prestigious organisations. Katie is an Ambassador for the International Coach Federation, helping to raise awareness of the ICF brand as well as to align organisations and individuals with the ICF vision of 'making coaching an integral part of society by 2016'. She is the Founder of the Thames Valley Coaching Network, set up in 2007.
She is married and has two children.
